Purpose-built facility brings Red’s team, equipment and expanding in-house capabilities together under one roof.

Red Event Production has moved into a new purpose-built 12,500 sq ft headquarters in Bedford, quadrupling its warehouse capacity and creating a stronger base for supporting an increasing roster of projects.
The move takes Red from its previous warehouse to a new facility at North Common Farm Business Park, close to Junction 13 of the M1. The site brings the company’s warehouse, offices, meeting spaces and workshops together under one roof, while providing faster access to venues across London and the wider UK.
Rather than adapting an existing unit, Red worked with the developer to create a facility designed around the way the business operates and the spaces it requires to function efficiently. Collaborating internally, the team curated a list of spaces it desired from a new facility, and designed a building to meet those needs.
The additional space provides significantly greater capacity for equipment preparation, testing and project pre-production, while dedicated client-facing demonstration and preparation areas will allow clients and partners to see equipment, ideas and event setups before they go live. Plans also include a dedicated scenic workshop and CNC capability, enabling Red to continue expanding its in-house fabrication and production capabilities.
Oliver Gee, Managing Director of Red Event Production, said:
“After over a year of planning, the move brings everything together. For me, it was really important that we created a space the team enjoys coming to work in. Somewhere they have the room to work properly, collaborate and feel proud of the work they do. We’ve got a great team, and this is really about giving them the best possible environment to do their jobs well.” The new headquarters has been designed around Red’s people.
Alongside its technical and operational areas, the building includes collaborative office space, meeting rooms and shared social areas designed to encourage communication between teams. The facility also provides space to host client demonstrations, industry events, training sessions and open days.

Oliver added:
“We want people to come in, see what we do and get a genuine sense of how we work. For me, it’s always been about working with clients, not just for them. The best events come from developing ideas together, planning properly and working as one team.
We also want to be people our clients genuinely enjoy working with, so it was important that the building reflected that. We’ve created spaces where clients can come in, sit down with us, explore ideas, test things and be part of the process from the start. That sense of collaboration was a big part of how we designed the building.”
The relocation follows several years of significant investment and expansion for the Bedford-based company.
Red has invested more than £1 million in production equipment in recent years and now manages an extensive fleet of audio, video, lighting and other assets through its barcode-led inventory and asset management systems.
The company also acquired Alexander Media & Production Services in 2025, strengthening its technical inventory and production capability. It was also named winner of the Sustainability Award at the Bedfordshire SME Business Awards 2025.
Red delivers full-service audiovisual, lighting, staging, video and broadcast production for conferences, awards, corporate events and brand activations across the UK. Its work spans venues through London, across the Midlands, with a significant proportion of the company’s work coming from long-term relationships with agencies, venues and end clients.
The new headquarters also continues Red’s focus on practical environmental improvements, incorporating an energy-efficient building, renewable electricity, with solar power planned.

The facility will additionally provide a base for Red’s work with Bedford College Group, giving students opportunities to experience professional event production equipment, meet people working within the industry and learn more about careers in technical production.
Oliver said: “We’re incredibly proud to be building the business here in Bedford. ”
The new headquarters is now fully operational, with Red inviting clients, partners and local businesses to visit the facility, meet the team and experience its expanded production capabilities first-hand.
