The Network of Women in Events (NOWIE) was established in 2013, to improve the working landscape for women in the live events industry.
NOWIE defines a woman as anyone who identifies or is happy to be identified as part of a group of women, and is founded on the principles of women supporting women. With an ever-expanding roster of annual projects and events, and overseen by a stellar Board of Advisors, NOWIE continues to strive for better opportunities for women in the events sector at all stages of their career, through networking, community and improved representation. Currently, NOWIE offers individual memberships, corporate memberships, and a free online community group.
Through mentorship, access to resources, and support with professional development, NOWIE empowers women in the events industry and provides a space for the community to thrive. NOWIE advocates for equity and representation, ensuring women at all career stages can operate in a safe, inclusive environment, regardless of sector.
